South Korea's cargo airline Air Incheon announced on Wednesday that it signed an agreement with American aircraft manufacturer Boeing Co. on Tuesday to collaborate on enhancing flight safety operations.
The airline, which operates four Boeing B737-800F cargo aircraft, will participate in Boeing's newly established Flight Operations Representative (FOR) safety collaboration program.
Boeing plans to work closely with Air Incheon’s operations department to deliver a customized safety support program
In a related development, on August 7, Air Incheon signed a basic agreement with Korean Air Lines Co. to acquire the cargo business of Asiana Airlines Inc.
This acquisition is contingent upon the completion of ongoing reviews by the EU and the US competition authorities regarding Korean Air’s merger with Asiana.
