Korean Air Lines Co. said on Monday that it relaunched the Incheon–Kumamoto route on November 24, offering seven weekly services.
The route, launched in 1991, had been suspended since 1997.
The resumption of flights comes 27 years after the last flight.
The flights, KE777 and KE778, will be serviced by the Airbus A321neo, which seats 182 passengers, including 8 in Prestige Class and 174 in Economy Class.
Prestige Class passengers can enjoy fully reclining seats, while in-flight Wi-Fi is available to all.
The airline said Kumamoto, located in Kyushu, is known for its scenic and historical landmarks, including Mount Aso, the world’s largest caldera volcano, and Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan's top three castles.
