South Korea's SK Nexilis Co., the world’s largest copper foil maker, said on Monday it received a $133 million subsidy from the Polish government under the European Union (EU) Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework (TCTF) program.
SK Nexilis is the first South Korean battery materials company to get the TCTF subsidy and the largest single payout from the Polish government.
The company will cooperate with the Polish government to construct cooper a foil manufacturing plant in Stalowa Wola, Poland.
The EU introduced the TCTF in March last year to ease the rules on subsidizing companies that drive net-zero CO2 emissions such as electric vehicles and batteries.
