South Korea's Hanwha Vision Co. announced on Monday that it joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), an international initiative for corporate social responsibility.
The UNGC is the world's largest voluntary corporate citizenship initiative, encouraging businesses to apply ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption to their operations and management strategies.
Currently, over 20,000 companies from 167 countries participate in this initiative.
Following this membership, Hanwha Vision plans to adhere to the UNGC's ten principles and annually disclose related performance through progress reports.
The company also aims to enhance sustainable management practices and actively contribute to fostering an industrial ecosystem that prioritizes corporate social responsibility.
