CJ CheilJedang's bibigo dumplings for in-flight meal CJ CheilJedang Corp. expands its K-food territory with Australia's largest airline.
CJ CheilJedang announced on Tuesday that it will introduce Bibigo dumplings as an in-flight meal for Qantas Airways in Australia.
Bibigo dumplings will be served as snacks on international flights to and from the United Kingdom (London), Singapore, the Philippines (Manila), Japan (Tokyo) and Canada, as well as domestic flights to Perth, starting in September.
This is the first time an overseas airline serves Bibigo K-food as an in-flight meal on an international route other than to Seoul.
CJ CheilJedang expects that the Qantas Airways in-flight meal of Bibigo will help increase the global awareness of its dumplings.
CJ CheilJedang sells Bibigo products in major Australian distribution channels such as Woolworths, Costco and convenience store chain EzyMart, and plans to expand its B2B in Australia starting with this in-flight meal delivery.
“We are pleased to introduce Bibigo dumplings as in-flight meals for consumers traveling between Australia and the rest of the world. We will continue to expand the sales of K-food by collaborating with various companies,” said Cha Yoo-jin, head of CJ CheilJedang Oceania.
