South Korea's SK C&C, an IT services unit of SK Group, on Tuesday said it has started building next-generation information and communications (ICT) systems for overseas corporations of domestic food giant Nongshim Co.
The project has SK C&C working on digital transformation for the overseas corporations' ICT systems. In January, the company completed a next-generation information system for Nongshim headquarters.
A cloud-based SAP S/4 HANA enterprise resource planning (ERP) system will be set up at Nongshim's overseas corporations, which will also apply its headquarters' systems for business warehouse/enterprise information (BW/EIS) and that for mobile device and product lifecycle management (MDM/PLM).
The plan is to develop specialized systems considering the conditions of overseas corporations. The next-generation information systems are expected to streamline the sales systems of the overseas corporations and production and inventory management.
SK C&C will also upgrade Nongshim’s global integrated management system and significantly boost digital utilization at business sites.
"This project can enable optimal decision making in global business by Nongshim’s domestic and overseas business sites based on data,” said Lee Geum-ju, head of SK C&C’s enterprise solutions group.
