According to Hyundai Motor, IONIQ 6 was selected as No. 1 out of 14 finalist EVs, including the Audi Q4 E-tron, BMW i7, and Cadillac Lyric AWD. Over the course of three weeks, Car and Driver evaluated the vehicle's value, driving test, new technology in the vehicle, and driving pleasure.

Moreover, the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) selected IONIQ 6 as the best in the large family car category in January.
