BMW's New 530e BMW Korea announced on Tuesday that it unveiled the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sedan model The New 530e in the domestic market.
According to BMW Korea, The New 530e combines the efficiency of a high-performance hybrid powertrain with the eco-friendliness of a pure electric vehicle (EV).
Equipped with an electric motor boasting a 63% increase in maximum output compared to the previous seven-generation PHEV model, the New 530e features an 184-horsepower electric motor.
It works in conjunction with a 190-horsepower BMW TwinPower Turbo engine, delivering a maximum output of 299 horsepower.
The electric driving range has also been extended. The New 530e is equipped with a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 18.7 kWh, allowing it to travel up to a maximum of 73 km on a single charge (certified by the Ministry of Environment).
This represents a 62% increase compared to the previous generation (45 km).
With a fuel tank capacity of 60 liters, The New 530e can travel up to a maximum of 751 km based on the certified combined fuel efficiency of 15.9 km per liter.
It offers a trunk space of 520 liters, similar to gasoline and diesel models.
The New 530e comes equipped with convenience features such as Comfort Seat, 4-Zone AC, Driving Assistant Professional, and Parking Assistant Plus, as standard.
