South Korea's Samhwa Paint Industrial said on Wednesday that it has introduced a new water-based primer, Knok-Stop, designed to convert rust on metal surfaces that have already started corroding.
The product is formulated to prevent further rusting by stabilizing the metal. Corrosion typically occurs when metal is exposed to oxygen and water, leading to oxidation, which weakens the metal's strength and ductility, and thus safety concerns.
Knok-Stop uses a special emulsion resin, providing effective rust stabilization.
Its key features include excellent storage capabilities and a thin coating application, making it a robust solution for extending the life of metal surfaces.
