SK Ecoplant Co., a South Korean construction engineering and waste management company under SK Group, said on Thursday it reorganized its business structure by establishing a high-tech business division that will offer comprehensive semiconductor services.
The high-tech business division will provide services, including plant construction and management, to cater to the growing semiconductor market.
SK Ecoplant also unveiled new marketing and environmental units as part of the reorganization.
The company said its energy division has been spun off to focus on the artificial intelligence (AI) data center market, which it sees as a key growth area.
The energy division will provide solutions connected to fuel cells and renewable energy projects.
SK Ecoplant has consolidated its construction, civil engineering, and plant units under a new solutions business division to enhance stability and efficiency in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) operations.
