LG Electronics will showcase the world's largest built-in refrigerator at CES 2023 LG Electronics said on Wednesday that it will unveil a new large-capacity built-in refrigerator at CES 2023, which will take place in Las Vegas on January 5 next year.
The new built-in refrigerator is the largest in the industry, with a capacity of 721 liters (25.46 cubic feet).
The South Korean electronics giant said the new product marks the first to exceed 700 liters in capacity among all built-in refrigerators.
LG plans to release it in the US first in April next year.
The new product features a 10% increase in food storage capacity while maintaining the same size as the existing model LRFVC2406S.
To maximize the use of internal space, it has redesigned the cold air flow path and improved the structure of its key parts such as evaporators that absorb heat.
It has also added a new type of ice-making feature "Mini Cubed."
The ice is 1.7 cm wide, 2.3 cm long, and 0.8 cm high, which is convenient for drinkers to put in a bottle or cup.
In addition, one can choose 50-mm round ice "Craft Ice" for cocktails, ice flakes "Crushed" suitable for slush drinks, and basic cube square ice "Cubed."
Also, LG applied the mirror glass design to the upper-right door to add a “knock-on function.”
With this function, the inner light turns on to show the type and amount of stored food once one knocks on the door.
“While retaining the differentiated performance and hygiene functions of LG's refrigerators, the new product has a UV nano function that can eliminate up to 99.99% of bacteria at the water outlet," an LG official explained.
