Samsung Electronics Co. will launch its 89-inch Micro LED display in China for the first time at the "Appliance & Electronics World Expo 2023" (AWE 2023), China's largest home appliance exhibition held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) from April 27 to 30.
This move marks the start of Samsung's full-scale onslaught on the high-end product market. A total of 1,200 global companies will participate in this year's AWE, showcasing cutting-edge technology and trends.
Following its first launch in China of the 89-inch Micro LED display, Samsung Electronics plans to unveil the product in Korea, the Middle East, North America and Europe.
Last year, Samsung Electronics received rave reviews from consumers when it launched the 110-inch Micro LED display in China. This year, Samsung plans to expand its product lineup from the 89-inch Micro LED display to include 76-, 101- and 114-inch displays, broadening consumer options and targeting the market for ultra-high-definition and super-large displays.
Micro LED displays produce the best picture quality by using LED pixels that emit their own light and color in micrometer units, without the need for backlighting or color filters. It is possible to adjust the shape, proportion and size of the display freely through the use of modules, allowing users to create a customized screen.
