LG Electronics Inc. collaborated with world-renowned artificial intelligence (AI) artist Stephanie Dinkins to showcase art pieces that explore communication and empathy between humans and AI technology using organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TVs.

LG Electronics presented three new works by Dinkins at the "Late Shift x Stephanie Dinkins" exhibition held at the Guggenheim Museum in New York last Thursday. The exhibition featured seven OLED displays, including the 97-inch OLED evo, OLED Objet Collection Posé and Transparent OLED Signage.

Dinkins is an artist who utilizes cutting-edge digital technologies such as AI, AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) in her artistic endeavors. She was awarded the "LG Guggenheim Award" by LG Corp. and the Guggenheim, becoming the first recipient of the award for innovative artwork using technology. She was also named one of "The 100 Most Influential People in AI 2023" by TIME magazine.

At the latest public program, visitors had the opportunity to share their thoughts on the theme of "Stories We Tell Machines" through a microphone, and the AI responded on the OLED TV screens. The program also featured a space where AI-generated artworks were showcased in stunning OLED quality.

"The LG OLED evo this year is equipped with the exclusive OLED AI video and audio engine, the "Alpha 11 Processor," which takes into account the creator's intended atmosphere and emotions to enhance AI performance in color correction and other aspects of video production," said an LG official.
