South Korea’s No. 2 fried chicken brand bhc Group announced on Thursday that it signed a master franchise agreement with Thailand’s Meation Group to enter the Thai restaurant industry.
Meation Group operates three brands in Thailand. It will also oversee the operation of bhc Chicken in the country.
bhc plans to open its first store in Bangkok in the first quarter of next year, marking the beginning of its expansion into the Southeastern country.
Last month, bhc signed a master franchise agreement with a local company for its expansion into Taiwan.
With this development, the company now has a presence in five Asian locations including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
