South Korea's low-price coffee chain, Mega MGC Coffee, announced on Tuesday that it will open its first overseas store in Mongolia on May 30.
This is the company's first overseas expansion after surpassing 3,000 stores in South Korea on May 9, becoming the first budget coffee brand in the country to achieve this milestone.
The first Mongolian store will be in the capital Ulaanbaatar.
Entering Mongolia is executed in a master franchise arrangement with local company Asia Pharma, which holds exclusive rights for Mega MGC Coffee's operations in Mongolia.
Based on its experience in Mongolia, Mega MGC Coffee plans to enter the Asian and American markets.
