South Korea’s major game developer and publisher NCSOFT Corp. has begun developing a casual game Doguri Adventure, featuring the character brand Doguri.
According to gaming industry sources on Wednesday, NCSOFT started recruiting participants for an in-house focus group test of Doguri Adventure that morning.
Doguri Adventure is a casual game in which Doguri travels to various cities around the world, striving to become the top travel influencer. It was revealed that the company had previously conducted the first and second focus group tests privately.
NCSOFT plans to conduct the third focus group test for Doguri Adventure later this month internally and in regions such as North America and the UK.
Doguri is a character brand first introduced by NCSOFT in 2021, inspired by the raccoon character from "Lineage2M," and features a background story centered on the joys and sorrows of office life.
Doguri has gained popularity, particularly among women in their 20s and 30s, and has been released as souvenirs and collaboration products.
Last year, Doguri even threw the first pitch at the NC Dinos’ KBO League playoff game.
