LG Display's automotive display products to be unveiled at CES 2024 (Courtesy of LG Display) LG Display Co., the world’s leading organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panel maker, will unveil its next-generation automotive display products at CES 2024, the annual global tech trade show this year to be held Jan. 9-12 in Las Vegas.
At its exhibition themed as new technology optimized for future mobility, the South Korean company will showcase display products optimized for software-defined vehicles (SDVs) and autos that can be updated and customized through their lifetime.
Among the signature products at the exhibition will be plastic OLED (P-OLED), advanced thin OLED (ATO) and low-temperature polycrystalline silicon liquid-crystal display (LTPS LCD) panels for autos.
P-OLED, a flexible plastic substrate, is thinner and lighter than glass-based products. ATO, made with glass, features the strength of OLED at a competitive price, while LTPS LCD performs well for high-resolution, large-size screens with fast electron transport.
The company will also introduce its switchable privacy mode, which minimizes driver distraction by keeping the viewing angle of the display out of the driver's line of sight. Its slidable and foldable OLED panels can be installed for passengers in the back seats.
