CJ OliveNetworks, Addverb to team up for smart logistics

South Korea's digital service company CJ OliveNetworks announced on Wednesday that it partnered with global robotics and logistics automation equipment firm Addverb Technologies to strengthen its smart manufacturing and logistics business.

The company plans to integrate Addverb's hardware with its software and system development expertise to provide design, construction, operation, and post-management across all stages.

Established in 2016, Addverb offers AI-based logistics automation solutions. It has expanded to North America, the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, and Singapore. It operates an R&D center in Silicon Valley, California. 

Its major clients include DHL, Coca-Cola, Amazon, and Siemens.

With this partnership with Addverb, CJ OliveNetworks will expand into the smart manufacturing and logistics market. It seeks to broaden its business scope beyond its existing software and solution-centric areas, including operational technology and hardware.

The company expects to provide tailored comprehensive smart manufacturing and logistics services by integrating Addverb's equipment and control software technology.
