LG Electronics Inc. is bringing a life-size model of its future mobility autonomous concept vehicle to the real world.

The LG Omnipod, a mobility concept that can serve as "a home office, an entertainment center or even a lounge," will be on display at a tech conference organized by Kakao Mobility on Feb. 10, the company said on Monday.

The conference, titled Next Mobility: NEMO 2022, will be held at the COEX convention center in southern Seoul.

The South Korean home appliance giant first unveiled the concept car, called Vision Omnipod, in a video at CES 2022 earlier this month. It’s “a mobility concept solution that blurs the distinction between home and car,” the company said at the time.

The self-driving home on wheels is fitted with its home appliances, including a refrigerator, a drink dispenser and TVs, retooled for in-vehicle use and provided with artificial intelligence concierge services from Reah Keem, the virtual influencer created by LG.

The company said the vehicle will have a number of modes to configure its interiors. That includes a shopping mode, an office mode, a fitness mode, a camping mode, and a sleep mode.

The interiors look and feel somewhat like a lounge or a sitting area, with a reclining seat and a couch, according to LG.

“The Omnipod represents LG's vision for futuristic autonomous, smart vehicle technology based on our strengths in consumer appliances, display and vehicle components," said Lee Chul-bae, head of LG's design center.
