Slid by Bebridge Inc. boasts 4.7 stars in Chrome ratings
South Korean startup Bebridge Inc. announced Thursday it raised 2.5 billion won ($1.9 million) in pre-Series A round from Magna Investment, Bluepoint, and DT & Investment.
The firm is the operator of Slid, a tool that helps online learners capture, record, and take notes while watching online lectures – in order to build their knowledge database.
The study notes compiled by Slid can be shared in a number of different ways, such as a link, PDF file, or image file.
Bookmarking specific parts of the online lecture is also possible.
Bebridge launched Slid in March 2020, which currently boasts 77,000 accumulated downloads. Out of the total, 32,000 downloads are from abroad, mostly in India and the United States.
The startup received Seed funding from MashUp Angels and D.Camp.
“The final goal is to turn Slid into a social media platform optimized for learning, a global information content platform of sorts,” the CEO of Bebridge Park Jung-hyun said.
Lee Sang-woo, who led Magna Investment’s participation in this round said: “Slid resolved the difficulty users felt when taking notes from online lectures, thanks to the intuitive interface. We are expecting rapid growth from Bebridge due to the continued adoption of telework and online classes around the globe.”
