LG CNS hires new employees based on computer coding skills LG CNS Co., the information technology service arm of LG Group, is hiring new employees based on computer coding skills regardless of the candidates’ academic backgrounds or majors at universities.
LG CNS, Korea's largest cloud computing service provider, said on Monday it will host a programming contest called Code Monster and allow excellent contestants to bypass document screening and a written test to sit for a final job interview.
Those interested must apply through LG’s programmer recruitment platform, Programmers, until 2 p.m. on Nov. 11.
Applicants will be asked during the three-hour test to submit programming source codes for four algorithm questions. Preliminaries will be held on Nov. 12 and the final contest on Nov. 26.

The company has been operating the Code Monster recruiting system since 2016 to hire talent with technical expertise.
“The purpose of the recruitment system is to nurture a competency-oriented organizational culture where technology experts are recognized and treated with priority,” said Koh Young-mok, an executive at LG’s human resources department.
