SK Bioscience Co. said on Tuesday that its Pangyo headquarters and its vaccine production facility L House in Andong, South Korea, have acquired ISO 27001, an international standard for information security management systems.
ISO 27001 can only be obtained after an evaluation of physical and environmental security and network security conducted by the International Organization for Standardization.
The company explained that it prepared for the certification evaluation according to the guidelines of the European Union's general data protection regulation (GDPR).
"We are continuously striving to strengthen our global competitiveness and enhance the reliability of our global partners through the successive acquisition of international standard certifications," said Ahn Jae-yong, CEO of SK Bioscience.
