Samsung Electronics Co.'s Neo QLED was recently awarded "Best Gaming TV" by Consumer Reports, a leading American consumer magazine.
The magazine tested and evaluated large-screen TV models based on their ability to meet the trend of playing games on large TVs. They considered factors such as input lag, refresh rate, picture quality, HDMI 2.1 support and compatibility with the latest console devices.
Samsung's Neo QLED claimed first place in the comprehensive evaluation of these categories after running game mode, meeting all of Consumer Reports' evaluation criteria with a response speed of fewer than 15 milliseconds. It also features "FreeSync Premium Pro" technology that minimizes screen tearing at a high refresh rate of 4K and 120Hz.
Consumer Reports praised the HD and UHD picture quality of Neo QLED, as well as its performance using the "HDR10+" gaming standard. HDR10+ is a video standard technology led by Samsung Electronics that optimizes the brightness and contrast ratio for each scene, taking into account the performance of displays on TVs and mobile devices.
Additionally, Neo QLED features HDMI 2.1 applied to all four ports, making it possible to conveniently use the latest console devices such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
