South Korea's NongHyup, or the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, announced on Wednesday that it has opened an office in Vietnam with plans to expand exports and explore new business opportunities in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam.
NongHyup also aims to support the entry of its Kimchi products into the Vietnamese market.
"We will make efforts to introduce NongHyup's excellent agricultural and food products to Vietnam and help NongHyup Kimchi become a luxury brand representing Korea, in line with the K-food trend. We will also strive to pioneer overseas markets," said NongHyup Chairman Lee Sung-hee.
During the opening ceremony, the chairman presented plaques of gratitude to three excellent Vietnamese buyers who supported the sale of NongHyup's agricultural and food products in Vietnam.
In addition, NongHyup has signed MOUs with these companies to jointly promote the development of new products and expand sales.
