South Korea’s SK Biopharmaceuticals on Tuesday said two of its self-developed wearable devices won the main prize in the health care category of this year’s Red Dot Design Awards.
Red Dot, one of the world’s top three design awards, received this year around 20,000 entries from 51 countries.
The two items are Zero Wired, a device that connects to a smartphone via a wire, and Zero Earbuds, which measure in real time a user’s complex bio-signals such as brainwaves, electrocardiograms and physical movement.
Both can detect unexpected seizures that occur in people with epilepsy.
