LS ITC, an IT service unit of LS Group, announced on Friday the signing of a pivotal business agreement with Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO).
This collaboration is framed around "cooperation on carbon neutrality and energy efficiency projects" in industrial complexes.
The terms of the agreement detail mutual cooperation on energy efficiency projects targeting small- to medium-sized enterprises in industrial complexes.
The collaborative framework involves the integration of LS ITC's digital power and energy management solutions with KEPCO's advanced K-BEMS building energy management system platform.
The initiative is set to commence with a factory energy management system (FEMS) construction project in the Cheongju Industrial Complex in North Chungcheong Province, aiming at 70 companies where LS ITC is currently based.
Both firms have articulated plans to gradually expand the scope of their collaborative endeavors to include major industrial complexes across the nation.
