HL Mando's booth at CES 2024 HL Mando Corp., an electric vehicle and self-driving system developing unit of South Korea’s HL Group, announced on Tuesday that it has been included in the automotive components sector of the 2023 S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, published by S&P Global earlier this month.
The yearbook features companies that rank in the top 15% across global industries and are within the top 30% of companies in 62 sectors, such as automotive, aviation, and construction.
Aiming for carbon neutrality by 2045, HL Mando is dedicated to managing greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals across its entire value chain.
This includes direct emissions (Scope 1) at the production stage, indirect emissions (Scope 2), and emissions during product use (Scope 3).
Since 2002, the company has annually identified and implemented energy-saving improvement projects. For this purpose, it developed a Factory Energy Management System (FEMS) that enables the real-time management of energy consumption data.
Last year, over 9,400 companies participated in S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA).
In the automotive parts industry sector, 11 companies were listed, including HL Mando. Among these, four are from South Korea: HL Mando itself, Hyundai Mobis, Hankook Tire & Technology, and Hanon Systems.
