LG Elec named best front-load washer in US

LG Electronics Inc. has dominated the top positions in the latest ratings for the best front-load washing machines conducted by Consumer Reports, a leading consumer magazine in the US.

According to industry sources on Tuesday, LG secured the top four spots in Consumer Reports' first evaluation of this year for the best front-load washing machines, showcasing the competitiveness of its products.

The LG WM3900HWA washer, which claimed first place, was awarded the highest Excellent rating for washing performance, water and energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

This product was also selected as a Consumer Reports recommended model, thanks to its quick wash time and high reliability.

Consumer Reports designated all LG washers ranked first to fourth as Green Choice products.

Consumer Reports conducts direct testing of products for water and energy efficiency, brand reliability, the softness of laundry after washing, and the product's weight and volume.

It awards the Green Choice designation to the top-performing products.

According to Consumer Reports' evaluation, front-load washers are superior in cleaning power and water efficiency compared to high-efficiency top-loaders and agitator washers.

The average water consumption of the drum washers was 38L, which is lower than that of impeller washers (50L) and agitator washers (76L).

LG Electronics' washers are popular due to their advanced core component technology, such as the inverter direct drive motor.

This technology controls the rotation speed by directly connecting the wash tub and motor.
