Hyundai Motor Group said on Wednesday that it held the inaugural ceremony for the first cohort of H-Jump School Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia, the previous day.
H-Jump School is a program that selects university student mentors to provide educational mentoring to underprivileged youth, while offering the student mentors mentoring from Hyundai Motor Group employees and professionals, along with scholarships.
Hyundai Motor Group launched H-Jump School in South Korea in 2013, expanded to Vietnam in 2020, and operated the program in Indonesia for the third time.
Indonesia, a key ASEAN country, is home to Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI) and Hyundai Motor Indonesia (HMID).
For the first cohort of H-Jump School Indonesia, 50 university student mentors from the University of Indonesia were selected. Starting this month, they will provide educational guidance and career mentoring to about 200 underprivileged local youth over the next 10 months.
