China's IT giant Xiaomi has entered the South Korean market.
Xiaomi said on Monday it established its South Korean branch, Xiaomi Korea, and will open the official online store on January 15.
Xiaomi Korea plans to hold a press conference on the same day and showcase its latest products, including smartphones, wearable devices, robot vacuums, and portable chargers.
Xiaomi plans to sell two of its latest smartphones, the 14T series and the Redmi Note 14 series, which will launch on January 10.
The 14T is equipped with optical lenses from camera brand Leica and with Google's artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, Gemini.
The domestic price of the two products is expected to be between 200,000 ($137) and 300,000 ($206) won.
