South Korea's SK Telecom Co. announced on Friday that it has completely revamped the user experience (UX) and added ChatT, based on ChatGPT, to allow customers to enjoy various contents within A Dot according to their personal preferences.
While the previous app featured a character appearing on the home screen and engaging in conversations with customers, allowing them to ask questions, the redesigned app now arranges a variety of personalized entertainment and content on the home screen, along with the character, for customers to enjoy directly. This enhancement strengthens the personalized area and improves intuitiveness.
SK Telecom also introduced ChatT, which utilizes the Microsoft Azure OpenAI service ChatGPT model within A Dot. When users ask questions through ChatT, it understands the input sentences and generates responses. Users can obtain richer information similar to conversing with someone who possesses specialized knowledge in the relevant field.
Furthermore, SK Telecom has upgraded its own large language model (LLM). With this enhancement, A.dot users can engage in multi-turn conversations, where the model understands the context and grasps complex intentions, allowing for more logical and useful responses.
SK Telecom introduced an emotion-based AI agent called A Dot Friends within A Dot with distinctive personas in collaboration with Scatter Lab. It provides a more friendly and personalized service tailored to each customer's characteristics. A Dot Friends will be initially available on the Android version, and the iOS version is scheduled to be released at the end of July.
