Samsung Electronics Co.'s Bespoke Qooker has exceeded cumulative sales of 200,000 units within two years since its launch.
Bespoke Qooker is a versatile cooking appliance that combines microwave, grill, air fryer, and toaster functionalities into one unit, allowing simultaneous cooking of up to four different ingredients, known as "MultiCook." It also features "ScanCook," which sets the optimal cooking values by scanning meal kits and convenience food barcodes using the "SmartThings Cooking" app, enabling convenient cooking.
Notably, this product, in conjunction with the subscription service "My Qooker Plan," which allows consumers to purchase the product for a minimum of 50,000 won ($37.40) when they make monthly grocery purchases exceeding a certain amount at partner-owned food stores, has been released and gained significant popularity among consumers.
Currently, Samsung has partnerships with 17 domestic food companies, expanding the range of available menus beyond meal kits and convenience foods to include baby food, healthy convenience meals, and more. The company has also secured up to 660 Qooker-exclusive recipes that can be prepared through scanning. Samsung Electronics has incorporated community features within the SmartThings app for users.
This platform enables users to share their own recipes and even directly transmit those recipes to their own Qooker. Recent updates have enhanced interactive features such as leaving comments or expressing reactions on recipes, further strengthening communication among users.
