LG Electronics Inc. on Friday announced that its customized trailer Bon Voyage will make its debut at the global wellness festival Wanderlust Korea at Seoul's Olympic Park slated for Saturday to Sunday.
Designed as a two-story open structure covering about 20 square meters, Bon Voyage allows a user to bring it to a desired location and spend time his or her way that blends with the surrounding environment.
The interior looks spacious with diagonal corridors, ergonomic stairs and built-in structures that maximize utilization of space. To promote a sense of openness, one side is completely glass so that the external environment is used as wallpaper.
The interior has an air conditioner, home appliances, Internet of Things devices and furniture.
LG Electronics said it thought of Bon Voyage to study housing culture trends more in depth, planning to closely research optimal spaces and designs customers think of according to lifestyle.
The company will also expand its points of contact with the public by setting up Bon Voyage throughout the country. Next month, it will show "In the SOOP BTS: Season 2," or original content made by HYBE, the management agency of K-pop superstar group BTS, at the filming location of Pyeongchang County, Gangwon Province, and take part in October in Go Out Camp, the country's largest camping and outdoor festival.
Bon Voyage is part of LG Electronics' experimental marketing platform LG Labs under the corporation's aim to achieve its future vision of becoming a smart life solution company.
