S-1 releases CCTV monitoring service

South Korea's security service provider S-1 Corp. said on Monday it launched CCTV Monitoring Service, a system designed to notify customers of any recording failures in their surveillance cameras.

The service instantly sends alerts to CCTV stops recording via the application.

It also includes after-service (A/S) support through more than 140 local dispatch centers nationwide.

This new offering addresses a critical weakness in traditional CCTV systems, where users have to manually check for issues and request repairs.

S-1 expects the service to minimize surveillance gaps and prevent situations where critical incidents go unrecorded.

An optional add-on Rental Theft Compensation is available for an additional fee.

This service offers up to 10 million won ($7,165) in compensation for damages caused by theft or structural damage to storage facilities like doors, windows, and safes, provided the incidents are captured on CCTV footage.
